ABBE Laboratories, Inc. was founded in 1990, by Robert and Eleanor Posner. The company was formed to bring professional skin care products to physicians (primarily dermatologists and plastic surgeons), and other skin care professionals (estheticians and cosmetologists). Most ABBE manufactured products have been only available as private label (we put a doctors or salons label on the front of the bottle or jar). ABBE also manufactures skin care products for other companies (marketers). We own and have developed all of the formulas we manufacture. Some of our products are patented.
Robert Posner is a 46 year veteran of the pharmaceutical and cosmetic skin care industry. He has been involved in bench chemistry as well as Research and Development chemistry. Mr. Posner is a well-known International and National lecturer and authority on skin care and product ingredients. He has written many articles in professional skin care journals. Posner has created needed products in the professional and medical skin care arenas.
Working mainly with dermatologists, as well as plastic surgeons, Posner's expertise is Nationally as well as Internationally known.
Robert is a past member of the Board of Directors of ICMAD (Independent Cosmetic Manufacturers and Distributors), The American Pharmaceutical Association, The New York State Council of Hospital Pharmacists and The American Society of Hospital Pharmacists. He was on the board of advisors of Les Nouvelles Esthetiques (a skin care trade journal) as well as one of the only two non-physician advisory board members of the prestigious medical journal, Cosmetic Dermatology.) Posner is on the board of directors of EMDA (Esthetic Manufacturers and Distributors Alliance), a member of the American Beauty Association and a contributing writer to the Journal of Drugs in Dermatology. He is also a frequent skin-care consultant to Day Spa ( a skin care orientated spa journal).
